Songs Inside won ‘Best Documentary’ on its debut at the Adelaide Film Festival. It then picked up the ‘Documentary Australia Award’ at the Sydney Film Festival and was nominated for ‘Best Documentary Sound’ at the 2026 AACTAs. I worked alongside Tom Heuzenroeder (re-recording mixer/ sound designer) and Jakub Gaudasinski (orchestral mix engineer) As well as editing the sync sound and supplying the sound effects and foley, I also supplied surround sound recordings I made of Adelaide Women’s Prison. I enjoyed working on this one. It was also a rare occurrence to make use of the ukuleles and double bass I have at home as Foley props!
